Unlikely String of Events

Who would have thought that Gov. Romney would drop out of race for the Republican nominee? Who would have thought that Gov. Huckabee would have won Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and West Virginia on Super Tuesday? Who would have thought that Gov. Huckabee would sweep the floor in Kansas with Sen. McCain? The answer to these questions is very few.

But here we are on February 11, 2008. Gov. Huckabee has 217 delegates with possibly more depending on the outcome of Washington State were the vote was halted after only 87% was counted and only 242 votes separating Huckcabee and McCain leaving approximately 1500 votes uncounted! I told a friend that I thought Washington State would go to McCain, but I didn't figure it would come about by throwing out 1500 votes. After all, that's what happened when Mr. Luke Esser, Washington State Party Chairman, decided not to count them. I digress.

Certainly, Gov. Huckabee is the only remaining conservative left in the Republican primary. Why doesn't the conservative arm of America wake up?! Granted, it will be very difficult for Huckabee to role back the momentum McCain gained out of Super Tuesday. Some would say it is impossible. Huckabee says that he believes in miracles. Well, I do to. A change is coming. Eyes will be opened. What is impossible with man is possible with God! Watch and pray!

South Carolina Primary

While Mike Huckabee wasn't expected to win Michigan, and didn't, he is expected to fair better in South Carolina. However, current poles show that McCain has a 6 pt. lead on Huckabee. If you know anyone living in South Carolina please encourage them to support Huckabee in their local communities and to get out and vote this Saturday.

Also, it's important that we keep raising money for the campaign as it is well underfunded compared to other republican candidates. There is a lot that will need to be done ahead of "Super Tuesday" on February 5th. Please see my earlier post on where to go to donate and help me meet my fund raising goal.

Thank you.

Welcome!

Hello. I would like to welcome you to my blog. The purpose for this blog is raise support and awareness for Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee. A couple of months ago I began to pay more attention to the presidential candidates. I've usually supported Republican candidates in the past, but I was concerned whether there was a candidate that I could support. Even though I question some of Mr. Huckabee's economic policies, it became clear that He perhaps more than any other candidate is a God fearing man. I don't mean that just because he was a Baptist minister. I can sense a genuineness about him , especially when it comes to his faith in Christ. Huckabee has also emphasized social areas that a lot of Republican's have chosen to ignore. He has caught some flack for being a "Social Republican".

I personally don't see a problem with that. What's most important to me is for our future president to be humble before the Lord and have a desire to serve Him. I'm not saying that Huckabee is God's pick. However, what I do know from God's Word, the Bible, is that His people are called to pray for the leader's of their nation. I believe that as Christians our first allegiance is to Christ. We are just passing through this world, but that doesn't mean we are to bury our heads in the sand. Will you join me in close watching and waiting before the Lord for the next U.S. president? To learn more about Mike Huckabee and his stance on different issues go to
